Select your state to find a Dunham’s Sports location offering suppressors. 

How to Purchase a Suppressor

Choose your suppressor at a participating Dunham’s Sports location, then follow the steps below to complete the required registration and approval process.

1. Create Your Silencer Shop Profile

Create your Silencer Shop profile using the Silencer Shop Kiosk located near the firearm counter at a participating Dunham’s Sports store.

2. Submit Your Fingerprints

Use the Silencer Shop Kiosk to electronically submit your fingerprints.

3. Submit Your Photo

Provide a current passport-style photo as part of your Silencer Shop profile.

4. Choose Your Registration Type

Select whether you will register your suppressor as an Individual or through a Trust.

5. Create Your ATF eForms Account

Create your ATF eForms account using the same email address associated with your suppressor transaction.

IMPORTANT: Save your ATF username, password and 4-digit PIN. You will need this information to complete your transaction.

6. Complete & Certify Your Form 4

Complete the required National Firearms Act (NFA) Form 4 process and certification through Silencer Shop and ATF eForms.

7. Place Your Suppressor on Layaway

Place your suppressor on layaway for the full price of the suppressor, less $1.00.

8. Wait for ATF Approval

Your Form 4 will be submitted to the ATF for review. Approval times vary based on current ATF processing times.

9. Return to Dunham’s

Once your Form 4 has been approved and you have been notified, return to the participating Dunham’s Sports location where you started your purchase.

10. Complete ATF Form 4473

Complete the required ATF Form 4473 at the store.

11. Complete Your Purchase

Pay the remaining balance on your suppressor layaway and complete your purchase at Dunham’s Sports.

Suppressor Purchase Requirements

Before getting started, make sure you:

• Are 21 years of age or older
• Have a valid government-issued photo ID
• Are a resident of the state where you are purchasing your suppressor

Get Your ATF eForms Account Ready

Setting up your ATF eForms account ahead of time can help keep the process moving when you visit the store.

Before your transaction:

1. Create your ATF eForms account.
2. Use the same email address associated with your suppressor transaction.
3. Create and remember your 4-digit PIN.
4. Save the ATF username assigned to you.
5. Have your username, password and 4-digit PIN available when completing your transaction.
