No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I didn't pay attention to the specifications so I missed that these are lower than bar height. It'll cost me more in shipping to return this than what I originally paid (including original shipping costs!). So I'll keep them and try to find some use for them. Assembly was somewhat easy, but the chairs are not sturdy at all.
