In the store I was a little unsure about the construction, but I bought it for two reasons; 1: it was about $50 less than any other stand I could find. And, 2: I know from experience that floor displays aren't always as durable as the real product.
All in all it's strong enough for my 100lb MMA bag and it does just what it's made for, with no frills.
